For UD students and anyone else who ventured to Irving to watch some Crusader home games, there was one player who made a big impression with his hitting during the 2021 season. Ross Lowe smashed the ball for the Crusaders, finishing the season with 29 hits, seven doubles, two triples, two home runs, 26 runs and 12 walks and hitting .345 over all. His batting average led the team and his slugging and OBP. With those kudos, one would expect that the end of the UD season would not be the end of Ross’ baseball career.
He recently announced his signing with Phoenix Baseball in Mount-Saint-Guibert, Belgium. A University of Dallas baseball player going pro is not a rare happening. In fact, Ross Lowe is the 26th Crusader to sign a pro contract. You can see an entire list of those who have signed pro contracts on the UD Baseball page here.
You can read the entire Ross Lowe story at the University of Dallas website.
