ESPN.com reported on Saturday (March 17) that the Texas Rangers have promoted their Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coordinator to become their new Major League Strength and Conditioning Coach.
McMahon has worked throughout the Texas Rangers organization in similar positions since 2008. He has had stints with the Rangers’ Bakersfield (High A), Frisco (AA) and Roundrock (AAA) teams.
Previous to joining the Rangers, McMahon spent time working internationally with the MLB and with the Milwaukee Brewers farm system where he was a strength and conditioning coach for the Helena (Rookie) and Huntsville (AA) teams.
For the 2012, 2014 and 2015 seasons, McMahon was honored as the MiLB Texas League Strength & Conditioning Coach of the Year.
