With the beginning of the baseball season, personal finance website GOBankingRates decided to do some investigating as to which MLB ballparks were the most and least expensive to visit in America. The study revealed some interesting tidbits for baseball fans on a budget. If you want affordable, you better live or visit Denver Colorado often since Coors Field, home of the Colorado Rockies, is the least expensive stadium where a family can watch an MLB game. But if you’ve got money to burn, visiting Yankee Stadium will be right up your alley, costing fans the most. Not too far behind the Yankees is Citi Field, home of the New York Mets.
The rankings of the most and least expensive ballparks was calculated by taking the average of the three cheapest 2018 season ticket seat options and dividing that number by 81 home games. This quotient was then multiplied by two attendees and added the price of parking, food and beverages.
