What could be the motive for the Chattanooga shooting?

Occam’s razor – “other things being equal, simpler explanations are generally better than more complex ones”

Almost 24 hours after the killing of four U.S. Marines, I looked at some news sources and found out a motive is still being serached for. For goodness sakes, this isn’t Indiana Jones looking for the Ark of the Covenant or my keys when I’m in a hurry to take my son to his little league game. It’s a motive for the Chattanooga shooting for crying out loud …..by a Muslim man named Muhammad. He killed military personel where he knew there would be no guns. How did he know there would be know guns? Here’s why:

From the Wall Street Journal, I read this…

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.—A 24-year-old Kuwaiti-born man opened fire at two military facilities here Thursday, killing four Marines and injuring three others before dying from a gunshot wound, authorities said.

The case is being handled as a terrorism probe, though officials cautioned they still hadn’t determined a motive for the shooting. The gunman was identified as Mohammod Youssuf Abdulazeez.

Seriously, can’t figure out a motive? Some things really are as clear as black and white. ISIS has in the past called for attacks on American military personel here in the United States. And in 2009 another Muhammad killed at a U.S. Army recruiting station. Only killing one soldier, the terrorist wished he had killed others.

From the Wikipedia article about the killing:

The 2009 Little Rock recruiting office shooting took place on June 1, 2009, when the American Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, born Carlos Leon Bledsoe, opened fire with a rifle in a drive-by shooting on soldiers in front of a United States military recruiting office in Little Rock, Arkansas. He killed Private William Long and wounded Private Quinton Ezeagwula.

After his arrest, Muhammad acknowledged shooting the men. He told police that he had intended to kill as many Army personnel as possible. He had an SKS rifle, a Mossberg International 702 rifle, two handguns, 562 rounds of ammunition, and military books in his car. Muhammad was charged with capital murder, attempted capital murder, and 10 counts of unlawful discharge of a weapon. Muhammad also reportedly faced 15 counts of engaging in a terrorist act.

A convert to Islam, Muhammad had gone to Yemen in 2007 to teach English, staying about 16 months. He was deported from Yemen to the United States, after having overstayed his visa and been detained.

In January 2010, Muhammad wrote to the judge in his case. He claimed that he was sent on the attacks by Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), and pleaded guilty to the charges of capital murder.

It is sick to live in a wolrd that is so poltiically correct that our own U.S. President will not even admit there is such a thing as radical Islam. Sometimes things just are what they are. Not all Muslims adhere to Radical Islam but all who practice Radical Islam are Muslim. There is no denying that fact.

As we search for the motive for the Chattanooga shooting by a man named Muhammad who killed four heroic marines, maybe the truth is that he was inspired by the ISIS hate spewing Twitter timelines and the calls by ISIS to kill American military pesonel.

I doubt Muhammad merely hated men in uniform or men with short haircuts. If that were the case, he would’ve killed neo-Nazi UPS men or insert your own silly sounding group here. No, Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez was a Muslim man who hated America and its military, if he felt otherwise, he wouldn’t have shot those four marines. If you beleive differently, that’s about as dumb as Steve Martin’s character Navin R. Johnson in The Jerk beleiving a man who is out to kill him actually hates cans instead of him. The following video demonstrates that stupidity.
